Linden Book and Bake Sale Breaks Record

The Linden Library Book and Bake Sale and Indoor Yard Sale, held on October 18 at the Azbill Community Center, raised a record $ 1,121.50 thanks to the efforts of community volunteers and the generosity of the community.

Friends of the Library President Christine Buckingham spearheaded the event to raise funds for the Linden Library. "We are very grateful to our community for their support," she stated, "People came out all day to take advantage of the delicious baked goods and bargains available at the sale, which included our second small indoor yard sale. We reached a fundraising record thanks to you all."

Many members of the Perry County community graciously contributed baked goods, used books, and DVDs, and their hard work in organizing the sale. Plus, the community attended the fundraiser ready to purchase, knowing their money was going to a good cause and there were bargains to be found. Thanks to all for coming together for this event. Mark your calendars for the 2026 Book, Bake, and Yard Sales: the first Saturday in May (May 2) and the third Saturday in October (Oct 17). We look forward to seeing you in the new year.
