Book Sale Updates

LOBELVILLE: Kathy Gammon, the director of the Lobelville Library has been periodically holding book sales at the library and will continue throughout the year. These sales are collecting funds for the library programs. For more info please call the Lobelville Library 931-593-3111.

LINDEN: The Linden Library Book and Bake Sale, held on May 2nd at the Azbill Community Center, raised $716 thanks to the efforts of community volunteers and the generosity of the community.

Friends of the Library President Christine Buckingham spearheaded the event to raise funds for the Linden Library. "We are very grateful to our community for their support," she stated, "People came out all day to take advantage of the delicious baked goods and bargains available at the sale."

Many members of the Perry County community graciously contributed baked goods, used books, and DVDs, and their hard work in organizing the sale. Plus, the community attended the fundraiser ready to purchase, knowing their money was going to a good cause and there were bargains to be found. Thanks to all for coming together for this event. Mark your calendars for the next Book and Bake Sale: October 17th at the Azbill Community Center. We look forward to seeing you in the fall.
